FAQ
Find quick answers to common questions about using Onebook.
ONEbook is an online reading program that helps students in Grades 1–8 build vocabulary, critical thinking, creativity, empathy, and a lifelong love of literature through award-winning books and thoughtful discussion.
The program is designed for students in Grades 1–8 who enjoy stories, want to strengthen their reading and writing skills, or need support developing deeper comprehension and vocabulary.
ONEbook goes beyond basic reading comprehension—it encourages literary analysis, discussion-based learning, and personal reflection through high-quality, meaningful literature. We focus on books that offer rich language and thought-provoking themes.
Classes are held online in small groups. Each session includes guided reading, vocabulary building, comprehension activities, and open discussions. Students are encouraged to share their thoughts, ask questions, and reflect on what they’ve read.
All instructors are experienced educators with strong backgrounds in teaching, literature, and child development. Each brings their own passion for books and learning, and they are trained in the ONEbook approach.
We select award-winning and age-appropriate novels known for literary quality, rich vocabulary, and strong themes—books that inspire discussion and connection.
Sessions typically run once or twice a week, depending on the program level, and each class is around 60–75 minutes long.
Not at all! ONEbook welcomes a range of reading levels. What matters most is a willingness to read, think, and share. Our small group setting allows us to support each student’s growth.
